I bought it new in March of 1994 in Adelaide, South Australia. It is plated 12/93 so I am guessing its one of the last. It is the big valve/40mm carb etc type. It came with points ignition but I have fitted a Dynatec pointless set up. I have also changed the carby tops to the straight pull type which made a significant difference to the throttle weight. I have also fitted Staintune crossover and mufflers, they are Australian made from stainless, no baffles, the sound is terrific. I fitted this system when the bike was new and have the original stored away. I have kept all the original bits so I can return it to standard if needed. It has done 95,000 k's (2012), so far I have replaced the uni joint, one battery and in the process of replacing the steering damper, you might notice in the pics it is not fitted. I dont particularly like the fairing it has fitted but I put it on to give some protection to the instruments and front area. It is a fantastic bike and I would never part with it.
I dont think there are many in Australia, I have only ever seen one other but no doubt there are a few around. The only other one I have seen was in a bike shop for sale about two years before I bought mine, as soon as I saw it I just had to have one. Love at first sight !
