From the Vin it is the first of the American market models. I don't have much history of my 1000S, and unfortunately no idea how it got to the UK. It is accepted as manufactured in 1991, but was first registered in the UK on 26th January 1994.
It seems quite standard apart from the fact it has lost it's original seat (replaced by an early Le Mans original rubber seat with homemade fittings in stainless strip). The rear mudguard has been shortened and someone also appears to have made some sensible electrical modifications as the wiring system is quite reliable. Currently has Keihan stainless silencers. The silencers shown are by O&S in Staffordshire, but they are a bit loud for me so I sourced the Keihans second hand.
I recently took over the manufacture of the FF head protectors as the original guy had some other interests. They are water jet cut from 8mm alloy plate so more substantial than most you see and with the additional feature that they are secured by all 8 screws of the rocker cover. They just need 2 rocker gaskets each side.
